Gus Edward McMahon

Services were held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home for Mr. Gus Edward McMahon, 86, of Hattiesburg, MS who died Friday, February 24, 2023. 

Interment was held in Coy Community Church Cemetery in Preston, MS at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

Mr. McMahon retired from Inland Container as a Machinist after 27 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and he attended Glendale Baptist Church. He had a wonderful sense of humor, always enjoying a good joke. He was loved and adored by his family.  

He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Edward McMahon; his parents, Ray and Dolly McMahon; a brother, Raymond McMahon and a sister, Doris McMahon Broom. 

Mr. McMahon is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mrs. Dean McMahon of Hattiesburg, MS; three sisters, Ida Ward of Hattiesburg, MS, Frankie Rogers of Petal, MS and Opal Bond of Sumrall, MS; one brother, Butch McMahon of Wesson, MS; two granddaughters, Morgan McMahon of DeKalb, MS and Madalyn Irby (Taylor) of DeKalb, MS and a host of very special and very loved nieces, nephews and extended family.

Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
