Gov. Reeves signs law cementing Mississippi’s new flag

Choctaw Indian Tribal Chief Cyrus Ben served on the state commission which selected the design of the new state flag, chosen out of hundreds of submissions. Voters approved the new state flag in the November.
Gov. Tate Reeves on Monday signed into law House Bill 1, which ratified the adoption of a new state flag.
Ben was on hand for the signing and for the official raising of the flag ceremony at the state Capitol.
