Services for Mrs. Genoby McDonald Wattles were held at 3 pm, Sunday, June 26, 2022 at McClain-Hays Chapel. Interment will be held in the Remus Cemetery. Rev. Eddie Pilgrim officiated.

Mrs. Genoby McDonald Wattles, 85, of Carthage died on Thursday, June 23, 2022.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Vernon Wattles; daughters, Angela Darlene Harrell, Cynthia Lynn Takacs (Steve); son, Vernon Gene Wattles (Missy) grandchildren, Nicole Elizabeth Trest, Erica Lynn Bryant, Julie Ardrey, Nicholas Takacs, Andrea Richart, Austin Wattles and Jordan Wattles; great-grandchildren, Cloee Bryant, Gunnar Bryant, Dawson Trest, Brody Richart, Evelyn Richart, Addison Wattles, Magnolia Richart and Vivian Wattles; a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents William Curtis and Ada Elmerine McDonald; brothers, Curtis McDonald, Elton Eugene McDonald, Wade McDonald; sister, Edna Sistrunk.
