Frank “Butch” Morris Steve, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Frank “Butch” Morris Steve, Jr. were held 2 PM Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Pearl River Baptist Church with Bro. Carl Wilson officiating. Interment was in Phillips Cemetery. Visitation began at 1 PM Monday, January 30, 2023 at Pearl River Baptist Church. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Steve, 61, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. He was a member of Pearl River Hunting Club and enjoyed hunting, watching stickball and spending time with his grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dora Mingo; parents, Frank Morris Steve, Sr. and Benedicta Saint John; sister, Stephanie Steve; brothers, Sean Steve and Lee McMillan.

Survivors include daughter, Courtney Steve; son, Granthan Steve; brother, Anthony “Tony” Steve, Sr.; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Pallbearers are Errol Farmer, Tony “Chief” York, Gordon Willis, Jr., Warren Wesley, Ethan Billie, Henderson William, Kent Wesley, Nitta Mingo; honorary pallbearers are Pearl River Hunting Club and Beaver Dam Stickball Team.
