Services for Frances Branning were on Monday, July 5, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Dr. Dan Howard officiating. Burial followed in Ocobla Cemetery in Neshoba County.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 

She was a native of Neshoba County and longtime resident of the Sandtown Community.   She retired from Wells-Lamont.  Mrs. Branning loved family, gardening, her flowers, and was an avid reader.  She was a member of Ocobla Baptist Church. 

Survivors include daughter, Brenda Carson of Decatur and son, Keith (Carol) Branning of Ridgeland; grandchildren, Jason (Mary Kelly) Branning, Sarah Margaret (Jeremy) Rowan, Chris (Wendy) Carson, Jennifer (Grayson) Timidaiski, and Jeremy Carson; great-grandchildren, Meg, Charlie, Benjamin and Wilson Branning, Spears and Lynlee Rowan, Isabella, Fiona and Willa Carson, Margo and Cannon Timidaiski; sister-in-law, Pat Branning; brother-in-law, Everette Estes; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding Mrs. Branning in death were husband, M. C. “Mitt” Branning; grandson, Scott Branning; son-in-law, Thomas W. Carson; parents, Martin and Sarah Frances Spears; sisters, Sadie Gray, Eloise Stovall, Mildred Estes; brothers, William Spears, Eldred Spears, and Harold Spears.

Pallbearers were Jason Branning, Jeremy Carson, Jeremy Rowan, Grayson Timidaiski, Buck Stovall, Mike Tinsley, Rex Rounsaville and Tyler Rounsaville.

Honorary pallbearer was Chris Carson.
