The annual Fore A Cure Golf Relay For Life Tournament is scheduled to tee off Thursday, Sept. 22 at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Course.

The tournament is a benefit event for the American Cancer Society and is sponsored by Weyerhaeuser Co. The tournament started as a company tournament for Weyerhaeuser as its fundraiser for Relay For Life. Later, it was opened to the public.

To enter, there is a $1,000 minimum donation to the American Cancer Society. Those companies entering will receive one 3 person team entry in tournament ($450 value) and one hole sponsorship ($150 value). Those companies entering will receive recognition on all literature and public communications. Those entered will be asked to promote event with their employees, vendors, and the public. This includes asking vendors for support, either by playing golf, purchasing a hole sponsorship, or both.

To date, there are 17 sponsors and 24 teams that have already registered for the tournament.

“That is outstanding,” said Kris Robertson, plant manager. “We are on pace to once again raise more than $40,000 to benefit the American Cancer Society. If you haven’t already registered, there’s still time to join in the fun and support the cause. Please reach out to me if you have any questions. And once again, thanks to all! See you at the tournament.”

This is a chance to fight cancer by having fun and networking as a business community, organizers said. For more information, contact Kris Robertson at 601-650-7285 kris.robertson@weyerhaeuser.com or Tammy Ward at tammy.ward@weyerhaeuser.com
