Jerry Pilgrim, native Neshoban, gave a highly interesting and informative discussion of South American affairs at the regular meeting of the local Exchange Club, held Wednesday noon at the Benwalt Hotel. Mr. Pilgrim has been engaged in construction work in South America for some time and he gave a brief summary of conditions there at the present time.
Since R. G. LeTourneau, millionaire businessman, christian philanthropist and lay preacher travels almost exclusively in his own airplane, reservations have been made at Key Field by Dr. Walter Johnson for his plane to land at Key Field, Meridian, early on the morning of December 24, the day scheduled for his two appearances at the First Baptist church here.

Colonel Harry L. Fox, Army District Engineer at Mobile, Alablama, announced this week that the low bidder for the job of constructing a radio and radar maintenance shop at Greenville Air Force base is the Central Construction Company of Philadelphia, and a contract in the amount of $77,864 has been awarded the firm by his office.

A fifty game winning streak of Booneville was snapped by the Neshoba County High Rockets last Friday night, 59-58, as Coach Ken Fortenberry's boys played a consistent game.
December 19, 1974
U.S. Electrical Motors has announced the promotion of Perry Walker to the position of production manager of the Philadelphia operation. The company also announced the promotion of Billy Myers to first shift plan superintendent.
Neshoba's Rockettes won their third invitational tourney trophy and their 14th game of the season Saturday when they defeated the Philadelphia girls in an overtime period. The Rockettes are undefeated for the season.

When Dr. Jerry P. Moore decided to move to Philadelphia and set up his medical practice, the town gained not only a doctor but an entire family with wide-ranging interests. Dr. Moore is returning to the east-central Mississippi area after more than 20 years spent in the medical profession elsewhere.

The Philadelphia Sertoma Club recognized Eric Prince Thursday night as "Sertoman of the Year." This is the highest award a club member can receive. The award was presented during the club's annual banquet.
