The Junior class of Philadelphia High School will present the annual class play Friday night in the school auditorium. Fourteen Juniors are cast in the performance, "Finders Creepers.".

Tom DeWeese of Philadelphia last week received the American lumber industry award for 1964 for "Industry Statesmanship." He is among two southerners to be honored last week at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel in Phoenix.

Jan Luke, an outstanding 4-H'er in Neshoba County, recently attended the National Junior Horticulture Association meeting in Washington, D.C. She received this all expense paid trip for winning second place in the state with her visual presentation "Good Things From The Garden-Corn."

The Philadelphia-Neshoba County Arts Council will present Dr. Sam Gore on Nov. 29, at the Neshoba County Library. Dr. Gore is head of the Art Department at Mississippi College and is a gifted sculptor and painter.

Incumbent Circuit Judge Marcus Gordon of the Eighth District won a 10th term with nearly 60 percent of the vote over challenger and Neshoba County native Don Kilgore, certified returns showed.
