A three-county meeting of War Bond Driver workers was held at the Pix Theatre Monday afternoon. Leake, Kemper and Neshoba were represented by their county directors, county chairmen and several workers.

The annual Tree Farm dedication and Woodland Demonstration by the DeWeese Lumber Company of Philadelphia will be held Tuesday, November 16, two miles east of Philadelphia on Highway 16 and across from the VFW Club house on a small woodland tract

Philadelphia merchants are busy getting merchandise ready for Philadelphia Dollar Days Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Bargains are in store for those who will shop early.

Groundbreaking ceremonies for the Choctaw Comprehensive Health facility will be held today, beginning at 4 p.m. on Pearl River Reservations. Dr. Emery Johnson, director of the Indian Health Service will present the keynote address.

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians received a Certificate of National Recognition Award for its public/private partnership efforts in economic development, James S. Roland, manager for the Jackson HUD office, announced today.
