Family disturbance leads to felony meth charges Sunday afternoon

A family disturbance led to felony meth charges late Sunday afternoon in rural Neshoba County.

Paul Embry, 56, and Naomi Embry, 57, both of 10301 County Road 1327, were arrested and charged with one count each of felony possession of a controlled substance believed to be methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

Chad Brackin, 43, of 10940 Highway 21 north, was also arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear in court as well as misdemeanor charges of disturbance of a family and disorderly conduct.

Sheriff Eric Clark said that on Sunday, May 23 deputies were called to 10301 County Road 1327 for a family disturbance.

When officers arrived on scene they made contact with Brackin. It was determined that he was responsible for the disturbance and he was then arrested and charged.

While at the residence, deputies made contact with the Embrys who live at the residence.

Clark said that both were found to possess a controlled substance believed to be methamphetamine.

All three remain in the Neshoba County Detention Center. Both Embrys have received a $600 bond for the paraphernalia charge but have not yet received bond on the felony drug charge.

Brackin remains in custody on $1,400 in bond but has not been issued bond for his failure to appear charge.
