ESPN will be coming to cover this year’s Neshoba County Fair, the network recently announced.

The coverage will be a part of the “SportsCenter: 50 States in 50 Days” series and will be visiting the Fair as Mississippi’s delegate on the list.

“Chosen as Mississippi’s spotlight location, the Neshoba County Fair will showcase the rich traditions, local pride, and unique energy that makes The Neshoba County Fair a one-of-a-kind experience,” The Neshoba County Fair said in a statement. “From Washington, D.C. to Philadelphia, MS, ESPN is celebrating how sports unite communities — and we're excited to be a part of the spotlight!”

ESPN will be coming to the Fair on Tuesday, July 29th, and will be live on SportsCenter at 1 PM Central Time. SportsCenter host Shae Cornette will be on the broadcast live from the Fair, which will feature footage and highlights from the Fair, along with interviews from the grounds.

“This summer, ESPN’s flagship news and information program will embark on a cross-country journey with SportsCenter: 50 States in 50 Days — a nationwide tour designed to bring SportsCenter and its anchors directly to fans across America,” ESPN said in a press release. “From iconic athletic venues to hometown hidden gems, each stop will spotlight local rivalries, community traditions, and the many ways sports unite fans across the country.”

SportsCenter’s tour began on June 27th in Washington D.C. and will conclude on August 16th at the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania. The Neshoba County Fair will be in elite company with some of the other events on the tour including the MLB Home Run Derby in Georgia, the ESPYs in California, WNBA All-Star Weekend in Indiana, the PGA Tour BMW Championship in Maryland, and multiple MLB games throughout the stops on the list.

The show is a reboot of a 2005 segment SportsCenter did called “SportsCenter Across America.” Now, after 20 years, the network is rebooting the series and chose the Neshoba County Fair to represent all of Mississippi.

“This marks the first time in 20 years that SportsCenter has undertaken a cross-country tour of this scale,” ESPN said in a statement. “The original 2005 SportsCenter Across America effort inspired this modern revival — now reimagined for a digital-first audience and reflecting ESPN’s commitment to both physical and digital fan engagement ahead of the company’s direct-to-consumer launch later this year.”

The Neshoba County Fair is set to begin on July 25.
