Erma Jean Concho Hickman

Funeral service for Ms. Erma Jean Concho Hickman were held at 10 AM Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at Pearl River Baptist Church with Bro. Timothy Tubby and Bro. Ricky Thompson officiating. Interment was in the Bogue Chitto Community Cemetery. Visitation was at 2 PM Monday, December 23, 2024 at the home of Melinda Gibson, 165 Park Place Choctaw, MS. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Hickman, 73, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Ochsner Rush Hospital in Meridian, MS. She lived in Oakland, CA most of her life, moving to Choctaw, MS in 1988. She was a member of Pearl River Baptist Church and her hobbies included attending her grandchildren’s functions, spending time with her family, making crafts and teaching traditional cooking.

Ms. Hickman is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Hickman, Sr.; parents, Wilbur Concho, Sr. and Delphine Poncho Concho; daughter, Charlita Hickman; son, Allan Hickman; sister, Betty Concho; brothers, Wilber Concho, Jr., Gilbert Concho, Bobby Concho; grandson, Masiah Ben.

Survivors include daughter, Melinda Gibson; sons, Richard Hickman, David Hickman, Edwin Hickman, Jr., Israel Jaurequi; sisters, Tina Laahty, Della Haloo; brother, Gary Concho; 5 grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Craig Willis, Robert Roth, Edward Roth, Josh Lewis, Alaric Keans, Tanner York, Robert Smith, Justin Hunley, and Josh Farmer.
