Funeral service for Mr. Eddie Evans was 2 PM Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. John E. Stephens officiating. Interment was in Good Hope Baptist Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Evans, 72, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022, at his home. He lived most of his life in the Sandtown Community. He was an avid Ole Miss fan. He loved baseball, classic cars, singing and listening to Elvis music.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Verdell Evans Sr. and Bertha Mae Davidson Evans; sister, Diane Evans; brother, Jerry Evans; nephew, Bobby Joe Brancaccio.

Survivors include his children, Scooter Bryan, Angie Norris (Anthony), Verity Stewart, Valerie Evans, Traye Evans, Betty Allen (Quinn); sisters, Kay Brancaccio, and Vickie Robertson; (12) grandchildren; (6) great-grandchildren; (7) nieces and nephews, and a host of great nieces and nephews.
