A driver who passed a loaded Neshoba County school bus stopped on a highway dropping off children was cited by the county sheriff after photos of the incident appeared on Facebook Tuesday afternoon.

Two citations for improper passing were issued and no one was injured,  Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark told the Democrat.

The incident involving a small white pickup and Bus 39 happened on Mississippi 485 near Mississippi 21 as the bus was stopped with red lights flashing.

A series of photos shows erratic behavior by the truck driver trying to get around the bus on a double yellow line on a hill, among other locations.

"Driver of the vehicle has been cited for the infraction!" Clark responded to the post on Facebook Wednesday afternoon. "Thank you for the response."
