Dora Helen Thomas Nickey

Funeral service for Ms. Dora Helen Thomas Nickey will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Macedonia Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Nickey Family Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 PM Monday, June 13, 2022 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Conehatta, MS. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Nickey, 91, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022 at her home. She was a member of Calvary Indian Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, making hominy and homemade cakes and pies.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Thomas Ellis Nickey; parents, Willmon Thomas and Sallie Davis; sisters, Mollie Anderson, Mary Ben, Vera Willis, Isaac Gladys Willis; brothers, Amos Thomas, Woodrow Thomas, Singleton Thomas, Golden Thomas, Dewey Thomas.

Survivors: daughters, Sherrill Nickey, Loretta Williams, Jane Charles, Judy Nickey, Diana (Ronnie) Henry, Michele (Karl, Sr.) Butler; son, Vince (Vanessa) Nickey; 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers are Eric Willis, Bill Thomas, Dave Thomas, Kameron Samuel, Nekota Bell, Joseph Bell, Larin Thomas, Ronnie Henry, Sr.
