A Philadelphia man is out on bond facing a drug trafficking charge after he was found with more than half a pound of weed during a traffic stop in the county at the end of July.

Liquori Mundrell Lewis, 41, of 10371 Road 549 was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute.

Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said that deputies discovered more than half a pound of marijuana separated into multiple packages for distribution in a vehicle Lewis was driving Friday, July 31.

“The controlled substance was separated into multiple packages,” Clark said.

Clark said that Neshoba County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Lewis without incident on Highway 16 east near the intersection of Highway 491 on a traffic stop.

Lewis was driving a blue Chevy SUV and was found to possess over a half-pound of marijuana in the vehicle.

Jail records state that Lewis brought into the jail around 7 p.m. that evening.

Lewis was later released from the Neshoba County Detention Center under a $15,000 bond.
