Deputies charge 2 with meth early Sunday
Two men have been have been arrested on meth and other charges after deputies pulled over a commercial vehicle early Sunday morning.
James Milton Barnett, 30, 413 North Street, Union, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, failure to appear, careless driving and driving a commercial vehicle while his license was suspended, the authorities said.
Jail records show that Barnett was also charged with possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, possession of paraphernalia and a seatbelt violation.
Barnett remains in the Neshoba County Detention Center on $13,620 in bond.
David Nowell, 37, 11791 Road 539, was also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and failure to appear. He remains in the NCDC on $10,000 bond.
Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark said that the two were arrested in a traffic stop on Road 375 near Williams Brothers.
Both men were found to be in possession of meth, Clark said.
