A Philadelphia woman was arrested and charged with felony drug possession following a traffic stop near House last week, the authorities said.

The woman, Lynda Lenette Jones, 49, 11321 Road 520, was arrested and charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Jones was out on a $10,000 bond by Dec. 23.

Sheriff Eric Clark said Jones was arrested during a traffic checkpoint stop conducted by deputies on Dec. 21 at about 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 492 and Road 701 in the House community.

Clark said deputies determined Jones was impaired based on her speech and actions and then searched her vehicle. Clark said the search yielded a glass pipe, a small baggie of crystal methamphetamine and nine oxycodone pills.
