A Moss Point woman has been charged with drug trafficking following a routine traffic stop where she was found in possession of large amounts of weed and ecstasy Wednesday night.

Ashley Monique Lee of 4709 Bush Avenue, Moss Point was recently arrested and charged with possession of marijuana-first offense and trafficking of a controlled substance.

Sheriff Eric Clark said that a Neshoba County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a 2011 gray Lexus on Highway 15 south around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15.  During the stop, it was determined that Lee, a passenger in the vehicle, was in possession of over 30 grams of marijuana and more than 100 dosage units of MDMA, known by its street name as ecstasy.

Judge Johnathan Spears set her bond at $15,000 for possession and $45,000 for trafficking.  She is currently being held in the Neshoba County Detention Center.
