Deputies arrest man on marijuana, firearm possession

An early-morning traffic stop near Williamsville last Thursday led to the arrest of a man on marijuana, firearm and traffic charges.
Robert Hickman, 34, 243 Carver Avenue, was arrested and charged with careless driving, driving under a suspended license, felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, no proof of liability insurance and a child restraint violation.
Hickman was driving a Toyota Highlander and was stopped for a traffic violation near the intersection of Highway 16 and Highway 15 on July 15, Sheriff Eric Clark said.
Jail records show Hickman was released on a $27,300 in bond.
