Deputies arrest alleged 77-year-old drug dealer

A 77-year-old alleged drug dealer with a felony conviction was arrested after a traffic stop Tuesday by Neshoba County Sheriff’s Deputies.

David Monroe Price, 10141 Road 373 in the Fairview community, was arrested and charged with four counts of possession with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and was also served two warrants for sale of a controlled substance.

Price was also charged with no license plate, improper equipment and driving under a suspended license.

According to Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a red Chevrolet truck on Highway 15 north driven by Price on the morning of Tuesday, May 10. 

The traffic stop led to a search of the vehicle and Price’s residence, the Sheriff said.

As a result of the investigation, law enforcement officers discovered multiple Schedule II narcotics-opiates and a firearm at the residence. 

Price was transported to the Neshoba County Jail where he remained, Clark said.
