A Camden man and two women were arrested with drugs and guns in the early morning hours of Sept. 10, after leaving the casinos, Sheriff Eric Clark said.

The man, Vintress L. Sutherland, 27, of 2151 Stump Bridge Road, Camden in northern Madison County, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Teresa Wilder, 43, of 201 Pickens Circle, Carthage, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Amanda Jean Hill, 32, of 948 James Meredith Street, Kosciusko, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.

Clark said the controlled substance has been identified as meth.

Deputies stopped a White Chrysler 300, after receiving a call from Choctaw PD reporting the driver of the vehicle leaving Golden Moon traveling west was possibly impaired and the tag on the car was believed to have been switched.

Clark said the meth was discovered in a bag on the floor under some grocery bags.

“It was a pretty significant amount on the floorboard,” Clark said.
