Funeral service for Miss Dayna Shawn Nickey were held at 2 PM Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Pearl River Facility Building with Bro. Lee Farmer officiating. Interment in Old Canaan Cemetery. Visitation was at 2 PM Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Pearl River Facility Building. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services in charge.

Miss Nickey, 28, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She lived in Pearl River Community most of her life. She was a Server at the Casino. She was Baptist by faith. Her hobbies included beading, spending time with her kids, reading and fishing.

Preceded in death: Father, Gregory Alan Nickey; Boyfriend of 8 years, Sky A. Shumake.

Survivors: Mother, Shanda Lewis; Sons, Skyler K. Shumake, Malakai C. Shumake; Half-Sister, Markisha Billy; Brothers, Darren J. Nickey and Michael R. Wilson.

Pallbearers: Cedrony Stephens, Jeremy McMillian, Canaan Nickey, Brantley McMillan, Ronnie Chickaway, Vernandall Nickey, Andrew Nickey and Ashley Williams.

Honorary pallbearers: Matthew Martin, Jimmy Nickey, Devon Morris, Keshawn Willis, Chad Frazier and Kaleb Denson.
