Daisy Smith

Funeral Services for Mrs. Daisy Smith were Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. from Damascus Freewill Baptist Church in Kemper County with Bro. Gene May officiating.  Interment was in the church cemetery.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Smith, 91, of Kemper County, died Friday, July 16, 2021.

Daisy Mae Smith was born April 26, 1930, in Neshoba County and lived most of her life in Kemper County.  She was married to J. H. “Johnny” Smith for 64 years.  She operated J. H. Smith Grocery in Moscow Community for 35 years.  Mrs. Smith was a member of Damascus Freewill Baptist Church.    

Survivors include son Milford Smith; daughter, Judi Sullivan; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. 

Preceding Mrs. Smith in death were husband, J. H. “Johnny” Smith; mother, Claudie Mae Walker; father, Allen Walker; stepmother, Lottie Walker; two brothers, four sisters.
