County woman dies in early-morning house fire

A Neshoba County woman died in an early-morning house fire Sunday in the Dixon community.

Martha Moore, 81, 10961 Road 212, died in the fire, according to Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark.

A caller to 911 at 2:20 a.m. reported the entire house was on fire. Multiple volunteer fire departments responded.

Neshoba County EMA director, the state Fire Marshall, and the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Fire Investigator were on the scene investigating the possible cause, Clark said.
