Funeral service for Ms. Claudie Mae Spears will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Howard Beam officiating.  Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM til time of service. Burial will be in Ocobla Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel in charge.

Ms. Spears, 97, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Grenada, MS.  She enjoyed cooking, house work, gardening and her children.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clea Spears; daughters, Virginia Beckham Austin, Diane Beckham Robertson, Jeanette Beckham McCary, Rita Beckham Misho; sons, Herbert Beckham, Neil Beckham, Ricky Beckham, Billy Robert Beckham; parents, William C. Smith and Birdie B. Robinson Smith; sister, Margaret Smith.

Survivors include daughters, Robin Sumner, DeeDee Partridge, Esta Lee; son, Pete Beckham; 25 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and a host of great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers: Dillon Long, Robert Smith, Tyler Cumberland, Timmy Bozeman, Milton McLain, Michael Clark.
