City woman stabbed by son at home

A mother was stabbed multiple times in the 100 block of Easthaven Drive by her 18-year-old son on Monday afternoon, Police Chief Eric Lyons said. 

Antwone Viveretter, 18, of Gulfport was arrested and charged with first-degree attempted murder. The incident was reported by Viveretter on Monday, April 18, around 3 p.m., Lyons said.

Officers received a call from dispatch where Viveretter advised that he had just killed his mother, Lyons said.  

Officers arrived on the scene and found the mother inside her vehicle with multiple stab wounds.

The son stayed on phone with dispatch advising of his location, Lyons said. Officers located him on Golf Course Road near Neshoba Central High School and he was then taken into custody without incident and is in jail
