Christene Winstead

Services for Christene Winstead were held Sunday, September 26, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Dr. Billy James and Rev. Lawrence Runnells officiating.   Burial followed in Bethsaida Cemetery in Neshoba County. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 

Ms. Winstead, 90, of Union, died Wednesday, September 22, 2021.

A native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County, she graduated from House School.  She retired from U. S. Motors in Philadelphia.    Ms. Winstead was a member of Bethsaida Baptist Church. 

Survivors include sons, Marshal Winstead of Philadelphia, Ricky Winstead of Hattiesburg, David Winstead of Union; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Mowdy of Union. 

Ms. Winstead was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Norman Winstead; granddaughter, Amanda Skye Winstead; sisters, Martha Jane Williams, Myverne Shannon; brothers, W. M., H. M., Cletus, and Carson Mowdy.
