Funeral services for Mr. Chester Arthur Nowell Jr. were held at 10 AM Friday, August 2, 2024, at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. John E. Stephens officiating. Interment in Immanuel Cemetery.

Mr. Nowell, 95, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Neshoba Nursing Home in Philadelphia, MS. He lived most of his life in Neshoba County and was Baptist by Faith. He worked at Wells Lamont, U.S. Motors, and was also a carpenter. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Preceded in death by wife Roma Jean Nowell; parents, Chester Arthur Nowell Sr., Gladys Borders Nowell; daughter, Cheryl Dianne Nowell; sister, Ruby Robertson; brothers, Charles and Dewey Nowell.

Survivors include daughters, Debbie Hatcher (Donny), LaDonna Nowell; sons, Terry Nowell, Craig Nowell, Steve Nowell (Yvonne), Tim Nowell (Patricia); sisters, Martha Bates, Betty White; brother, James Nowell; (10) grandchildren; (20) grandchildren (1) great-great-grandchild.
