Charlene York

Funeral services for Ms. Charlene York will be held at 2 PM Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Pearl River Facility Building. Interment will be in Pearl River Community Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12 PM Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Pearl River Facility Building. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. York, 65, passed away Sunday April 16, 2023, at Anderson Hospital in Meridian, MS. She lived in the Pearl River Community most of her life. She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, and her hobbies were playing bingo, visiting friends, and shopping.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Baxter York, and Grace Sam York; sister, Loretta Simon; brothers, Alvin York, Sr., Tony York, Sr., John Walter York, Frank Simpson.

Survivors include daughter, Maris York; son, Ruben York; sisters, Roseanna Mestheth, Ilene George, Rowena York; brother, Kenneth York.
