Volunteers were honored for their community service during the past year at the annual recognition program which is sponsored by the Community Development Partnership and the Mississippi Extension Service.

While many volunteer services may seem to go unnoticed, this program is a time to say thank you. The program was held last Tuesday night at the meeting room at the Neshoba County Coliseum.

The award winners were:

• Homemaker Volunteer of the Year – Patsy McGee;

• Literacy Volunteer of the Year – The Citizens Bank;

• Master Gardener Volunteer of the Year- Jack Harrison;

• Friend of the Extension – Harvin Hudson;

• Community Development Club of the Year – Neshoba Community Club;

• Community Spirit Award – Shirley Skinner.
