C. D. “Dois” Herrington

Services for C.D. “Dois” Herrington were Friday, January 8, 2021, at 2 p.m. from Pine Grove Baptist Cemetery in the House Community with Rev. Rusty Walton and Rev. Lin Chesney officiating.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Herrington, 85, of Union, MS died Saturday, January 2, 2021.

A native and longtime resident of the House Community, he was a retired commercial freight truck driver and a mason.  Mr. Herrington was a member and deacon of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Peggy Herrington ; daughter, Lesia Bruno; son, Clentis Herrington, all of Union; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Leo Herrington of Decatur.

Mr. Herrington was preceded in death by daughter, Kathy Strickland; grandson, David Kyle Holley; parents, Henry and Alma Herrington; several sisters and brothers.
