Bro. Vernell Daniels

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, from McClain-Hays Chapel. Interment followed in the North Bend Community Cemetery. Bro. David Richardson, Bro. Lawrence Pool and Bro. Cory Jackson officiated. McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Bro. Vernell Daniels was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County. He worked in construction early in life and felt the Lord calling him to preach in 1961 and he served as a minister for over 64 years.

Survivors include sons, Stan (Lisa) Daniels and James Daniels; daughter, Lori (Joe) Weatherford; step-daughters, Ellie (Joe) Mitchell, Tina (Steve) Seale, and Jami (Robert) O'Quin; step-son, Lester Close; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Garnell Daniels; a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by wife, Carolyn Daniels; grandson, Michael Daniels; step-daughter, Julie Darm; parents, Gaston D. and Evelyn Parker Daniels; sister, Alma Bane; brothers, G.D. and Harold W. Daniels.
