Barbara Parker Nelson

Graveside service for Barbara Parker Nelson was held Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. from Pine Grove Baptist Cemetery in the House Community with Rev. Rusty Walton and Rev. Lin Chesney officiating.   McClain-Hays Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Nelson, 71, of Union, died Sunday, August 23, 2020.

She was a native of the Spring Creek Community in Neshoba County and a resident of the House Community.  Mrs. Nelson was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church of House.

Survivors include husband of 52 years, Steve Nelson of Union; three daughters, Shea Nelson Hodges of Brandon, Leslie Nelson Taylor of Brandon, Lisa Nelson Jones of Kosciusko; eight grandchildren; sister, Nancy Lee Parker Waters of Brandon; brother, George Clyde Parker of Carthage.

Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by daughter, Christina Nelson; father, Joe Wheeler Parker; and stepfather, William Dub Perry.
