Anita Carol Winstead Paxton

Funeral services for Anita Carol Winstead Paxton will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 11 a.m. from Bethsaida Baptist Church with Bro. Isaac Feltmon and Bro. Billy James officiating. Burial will follow in Bethsaida Church Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Paxton, 50, of Carthage, TX died Thursday, August 1, 2024.

Anita Carol was a native of Philadelphia and graduated from Philadelphia High School and she also went to Judson College and graduated with her master’s in Nuro Psychology. Mrs. Paxton was a member of Murvaul Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Paxton; mother, Carolyn Winstead; stepchildren, Brandon Paxton and Brittany Hennessee; two grandchildren; brother, Richard Winstead (Stephany); several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mrs. Paxton was preceded in death by her father, Doyce Paul Winstead; brother, James Lavern Winstead; grand-parents, E.G. (Hop) and Juanita Barnett and Lavern and Bitha Winstead.
