Amanda Gayle Jefferson

Funeral service for Mrs. Amanda Gayle Jefferson will be held at 2 PM Friday, September 3, 2021 at Hope Indian Baptist Church with interment in Pine Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 AM Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Hope Indian Baptist Church.  John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jefferson, 50, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS.  Her hobbies included traveling, spending time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Willis and Vera Briscoe; step-dad, John Isaac.

Survivors include husband, Alvin Jefferson; daughters, Melanie Willis, Devayna Jefferson; son, Brandon Shumake; sister, Rachel Willis; brothers, Christopher Willis, Eric Willis; 4 grandchildren; host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Jamion Shumake, Adrian Frazier, Cameron Shumake, Gerald Isom, Sr., Brandon Shumake, Eric Willis, Grant Ben, Jaiontae Conrad, Kent Wesley, Brannon Jim, Markus Willis, Lyndon Thomas, Yunnel Willis, Devon Sam.
