Alice Benson Linton

Graveside services for Ms. Alice Benson Linton were held at 2 PM Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Henry’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation was 12 PM – 1:30 PM Saturday, November 23, 2024, at John E. Stephens Chapel.

Ms. Linton, 82, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024 at Lake Wylie Assisted Living and Memory Care in Lake Wylie, SC. She lived in Sanford and Elizabethtown, NC most of her life. She was a member of United Pentecostal Church, and her hobbies were music, spending time with her grandchildren and going to church.

Ms. Linton is preceded in death by her husband, David E. Linton; parents, James Sol and Lillian Jones Benson; sisters, Sybil Wilson, Lois Lovern, Mattie-Sue Alexander, Itra Peninger; brother, Howard Benson.

Survivors include her daughters, Danita Costas and Alicia Metcalf; sons, David Linton and James “Ed” Linton; sister, Inez Robertson; brother, Willard Benson; (11) grandchildren; (4) great-grandchildren.
