Alabama woman arrested with cache of drugs

An Alabama woman remains in custody after providing false information to a Sheriff’s deputy and being with caught a large amount of drugs this weekend.

Stephanie Renea Roddam 41, of 3703 Oakman Parrish Road, Parrish, Alabama, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana in a vehicle, possession of paraphernalia and giving false information.

Sheriff Eric Clark said she was stopped by a deputy in the city limits near the Main Street and McKay Avenue between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 13.

He said that the deputy had been pumping gas when he noticed Alexander at an adjacent pump. The deputy reported that she was acting strange and noted that she did not have a tag when she pulled out of the gas station.

During the traffic stop the deputy found drugs in the car and on Alexander’s person including marijuana, crystal meth and heroin.

“It was a large amount for personal use,” Clark said.

Clark said that Roddam was in possession of some pills that could lead to a misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance charge as well. 

Clark said Roddam initially gave her last name as Alexander and gave a local address on Road 519 int he Deemer community but that her driver’s license and other information in the vehicle all came back to Alabama.

Roddam remains in the Neshoba County Detention Center on a $36,600 bond.
