Adlar P. Deslatte, Jr.

Rosary Services for Adlar P. Deslatte, Jr. were June 21, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Sherril Orgeron, Jr., and Father Darniss Selvanaykan officiating.  Burial followed in Eastlawn Cemetery in Philadelphia.    

Born in Whitehall, LA, he was raised on a strawberry farm owned by his parents.  He served seven years in the U. S. Army Reserves. He worked as an accountant for Boeing Aircraft in New Orleans, and was office manager for a shipyard for twenty-seven years. He and his wife owned and managed Deslatte's Apartment Complexes for fifty years.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Pregeant Deslatte, two daughters, Sherrie Deslatte Cheramie and Suzanne Deslatte Sibille; one son, David P. Deslatte; sister, Onedia Lebourgeois; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Adlar was preceded in death by parents, Adlar Deslatte, Sr., and Lezemia Dupuy Deslatte; and his brother, Florian Deslatte.
