Three Philadelphia men face charges of smuggling contraband into the Neshoba County jail, Sheriff Eric Clark said.

DFrancis Davis of 11530 Road 212, Alexander Davis and Alexander Davis Jr., both of 1004 Donald Avenue, were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit a crime-felony.

Clark said a fourth unnamed individual is being sought in the case that involved a multi-agency two-month-long investigation.

“Affidavits and warrants have been signed and waiting to be served on the fourth person connected with this crime,” Clark said.

The arrests came on Wednesday, Jan. 5, at approximately 10 a.m. Clark said that the three arrests were made in connection to packages being intercepted by correction officers at the NCDC.

Alexander Davis and Alexander Davis Jr., both inmates at the detention center, instructed family members to bring significant amounts of cigarettes and marijuana into the detention facility.

DFrancis Davis and a co-conspirator who has yet to be arrested brought prohibited items into the facility and concealed them at predetermined drop points.

Alexander Davis and Alexander Davis Jr. would manipulate inmate workers to search for and potentially acquire the items for them.

Clark said that the charges came after a cooperative effort between Neshoba County Sheriff’s Deputies, Detention Officers, and Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics Agents ended a two-month-long investigation into contraband being brought into the Neshoba County Detention Facility.
