100th birthday celebration for Cecil Rhodes

Cecil Rhodes celebrated his 100th birthday Sept. 6 with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Cecil was born September 6, 1920, in the Neshoba community. His siblings are Lee Pendergrass, Zula Shackelford, Selma Rushing and the late Hays, Reid and Walter Rhodes.

He is a World War II veteran and has made his home in Brookhaven, MS where he has been active in the First Baptist Church, was a teacher and coach, and retired from the Lincoln County Health Department.

He contributes his long life to a blessing from God.
