Neshoba Central’s La’Davis Clancy signed a football scholarship with East Central Community College to further his education and football career. 

Leake Academy’s Emmajane Lepard signed to play college softball at East Mississippi Community College. 

After losing two of three games to start the season, the Union Lady Yellowjackets won three straight games last week.

The Neshoba Central High School Lady Rockets are the MHSAA Class 6A Girls State Basketball Champions, defeating Terry 53- 39.

The Lady Rockets will play tomorrow for the 6A State Basketball Championship after besting Hancock 48-30 in the semifinals last night. 

The Neshoba Central Rockets improved to 6-1 on the season after a 10-0 blanking of the Morton Panthers Tuesday night and 6-5 nail-biter against the Kosciusko Whippets Thursday night.

The Union softball team was shutout in a pair of games, losing 15-0 to 5A power Neshoba Central on Tuesday and 4-0 to Florence on Saturday. Union got its first win on Thursday with a 15-10 win over Southeast Lauderdale.
