The Dolly Party at the Ellis Saturday was a great night for our town and Marty Stuart’s Congress of Country Music.

GETTING THE MESSAGE/More than conquerors in Christ

Sometimes when you look at a product on the internet, you will see an image of a magnifying glass. If you click on it, you will see an enlargement of the specifications of the product. The vision in Daniel chapter eight does that for us with respect to the evil of the anti-Christ.

LOWRY/GOP race not quite as over as it looks

If it “got late early” in the old majestic Yankee Stadium with its long shadows, as the famous Yogi Berra quote had it, it’s gotten late before about the fourth inning in the Republican presidential race.

The “handwriting on the wall” is used as a cliché for something bad is about to happen and you can see it coming. Someone may say I still have my job, but the company is in bad shape, so you can see the handwriting on the wall. The origin of that saying comes from Daniel chapter five.

BIBLE SELECTION/Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
