Pay My Bill

Busy week of announcements
By LISA STANFILL

During Thursday night's league, there were a few special occasions announced.

Anniversary congratulations go out to Milton and Vickie Savoy, 26 years of marriage, and Jimmy and Jennifer Winstead Jr., 16 years of marriage.

Also to Depot Bowling's own Harlon Jenkins and wife JoAnn on 26 years of marriage, and Happy 21st Birthday wishes to Bridget Headley.

Neshoba Central High School's Bowling Team has been practicing hard with Coach Joey Blount for their first match on Nov. 15 in Starkville.

Wishing good luck and good bowling to Zackery Abunameh, Preston Breazeale, Tyler Dill, Genesis Ferris, Blaine Gardner, Ebony Horne, Shandrea Moore, Emilio Saurez, Devin Skinner, Marissa Stanfill, Samantha Stanfill, Hannah Wallace, and Graham Winstead.

Go Rockets!

Nick Headley finally had the opportunity to participate in his first major tournament.

The 3rd Annual Fran Bohlman Memorial PBA Pro-Am was held on Sept. 7 at Avalon Bowling Center in Milton, Fla.

This was a Scratch 9 Pin No Tap event where amateurs bowled 3 games on one lane with 3 different pros.

Nick was excited to have the High Game of all participants for the weekend with a 287.

He was able to meet and bowl with many pros he has admired, ie: the son of the tournaments namesake Jerry Bohlman (placed 25th), Rhino Page (famous lefty), Dale Eagle, Jason Sterner (placed 2nd), Kyle Troup (winner), and Walter Ray Jr. "who is as nice in person as he appears on TV."

Nick wants to encourage everyone to participate in a big tournament event.

It is a great experience that is "humbling to say the least."
