Employee robbed at business
By STEVEN THOMAS
Staff Reporter

A money bag containing more than $500 was taken from an employee outside a check cashing business just before it opened for business Monday morning.

The suspect, described as a black male wearing a white shirt and black pants, is wanted for the strong armed robbery of an employee at Greentree Check Advance, 371 west Main St., about 9 a.m., Police Investigator Fredesz Moore said.

"She had opened her door and turned back to get something," Moore said. "When she turned back a black male was there, snatched a money bag and ran."

The bag contained over $500 in cash, Moore said.

"We are currently following up on leads," he said.

Anyone with any information was asked to call the Police Department at 601-656-2131.
