Leake man faces multiple charges in Neshoba County

A Leake County man faces multiple charges after he was arrested following a high-speed chase with law enforcement officers with speeds in excess of 90 mph over the weekend, the authorities said.

Robert Piere Hull was charged in Neshoba County Saturday night with reckless driving, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana in a motor vehicle and felony fleeing law enforcement officers.

Sheriff Tommy Waddell said Hill initially brought a woman to the emergency room at Neshoba County General Hospital for treatment.

Deputies responded to the ER and later learned that a Leake County deputy was enroute to the hospital in connection with a domestic violence case concerning Hull, Waddell said.

"When he saw the deputy cars in the parking lot Hull got back into his vehicle and left traveling on Highway 19 south," he said.

The deputies were joined in the pursuit by Lauderdale County Sheriff's office and the Highway Patrol.

Hull's vehicle was stopped in Lauderdale at the intersection of Mississippi 19 and State Boulevard Extension after spike sticks were placed across the road, which deflated the air from his tires, Waddell said.

He fled on foot and was apprehended in a wooded area.

Hull remains in custody in Lauderdale County.
