This year we had 29 participants in the youth archery and air rifle competitions held prior to the Wildlife Jamboree festivities at the Neshoba Coliseum. Results were as follows.

In the Air Rifle competition 7-10 year old division Austin Melton placed first, Lathan Johnson placed second and Dalton Ladd placed third. In the 11-14 year old division Hunter Lewis placed first, Steve Bowman placed second and Brody Pinter placed third. In the 15-18 year old division Ben McDaniel placed first, Draven Barlow placed second and Kory Swift placed third.

In the Recurve Archery competition 7-10 year old division Lathan Johnson placed first, Cayla Fortenberry placed second and Dalton Ladd placed third. In the 11-14 year old division Steve Bowman placed first, Brody Pinter placed second and Brandon Lewis placed third. There was no participation in the 15-18 year old Recurve Archery competition.

In the Compound Archery competition 7-10 year old competition Eli Lewis placed first. He was the only participant in this age group. In the 11-14 year old division Lane Miles placed first, Brandis Johnson placed second and Trent Hundley placed third. In the 15-18 year old division Kory Swift placed first, Chris Vance placed second and Hunter Avery placed third.

Congratulations to each of these participants. They had fun and I hope many of them will decide to participate in the upcoming 4-H Shooting Sports program starting in January.
