The Xtreme placed third overall in the USFA State Tournament which was held over the weekend in Meridian.

The Xtreme defeated Mississippi Broom 11-3 in the first game, scoring three in the first, six in the second and two in the fourth. The Xtreme had 12 hits. Katie Webb had two hits and three RBIs while Malory Vance, Ali Pike and Hannah Williams all had two hits.

The second game saw the Xtreme take a 5-1 win over the Southern Hurricanes. The Xtreme scored three in the first, one in the second and one in the third. Vance and Pike led the 11-hit attack with two hits each.

The Xtreme then dropped a 6-2 decision to United. Williams had three hits while Meg Martin had two hits and two RBIs.

The Xtreme then bounced back with 14 hits to take a 9-1 win over the Southern Hurricanes. The Xtreme scored five in the first and four in the second. Madalyn McMahon, Payton Lippert and Kayla McKinion all had two hits.

Webb hit two home runs to lead the Xtreme to a 6-1 win over the Mississippi Rampage. Vance added three hits and Martin had two.

The Xtreme then dropped 6-3 decision to the Mississippi Blast to end their day.

The Xtreme now stands at 18-10-2 for the summer. They will be off this week and then will play in the Big Orange Showcase in Knoxville, Tenn., the following weekend. They play in the Southern Regional Tournament in Gulfport July 24-28.
