Whoose ran the quarter-mile in 31.3 seconds Friday as he won the Jim Dance Memorial Race at the Neshoba County Fair.

Friday’s action wrapped up week of horse racing and harness horse racing a the 130th Neshoba County Fair.

Whoose is owned by Lane Deweese and ridden by Josh Dearmon. It was the race of the best quarter-mile horses of the week.

Western Memory won the Morris Therrell Memorial Award for the harness races. Terrance Fortune owns the horse and Geremy Bobbitt was the driver. Western Memory was the fastest horse of the week with a time of 1:59. Bobbitt was also named the driver of the week.

Jumpin High Punch won the ½ mile championship for running horses. He was ridden by Randy Edison. The horse is owned by Bulldog Racing.

Red Headed Stranger won the ½ mile consolation race. He was ridden by Speedy Barrett. The horse is owned by JCab Racing.

Red Rocket won the ¾ mile championship. He was ridden by Randy Edison. The horse is owned by Big Hill Racing.

Top Drive won the ¾ mile consolation race. The horse is owned by Craig Massey. Speedy Barrett was the rider.
