The Choctaw Central Warriors will try to pick up a Region 5-3A victory Friday night when they visit the Kemper County Wildcats in prep football action.

This week's kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

The Warriors are coming off a disappointing 19-0 loss to Heidelberg in a game played last Thursday. The loss dropped the Warriors to 3-3 overall and 0-1 in the region standings.

Kemper County dropped a 38-12 decision to Southeast Lauderdale last week. The Wildcats played a tough non-district schedule and come in at 1-6 on the season.

"They were athletic and quick on the line and we just didn't match up very well," Choctaw Central coach Troy Savell said. "It's going to be the same this week with Kemper County. They are big and physical and we have to get in there and play hard."

The Warriors had 198 yards in total offense against the Oilers. Dalton Clegg led the Warriors with 48 yards rushing. Heidelberg had 268 yards in offense.

Cody Anderson and Alex Lacy led the Warriors in tackles with seven each.
